Morgan Stanley Investment Management (“MSIM”) today announced the appointment of Tony Archer as a Managing Director and Head of MSIM’s Asia Pacific Business. Mr. Archer joins MSIM from Axa Rosenberg where he was most recently the Director for Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for setting up the operations of AXA Rosenberg Asia Pacific.
Reporting to Michael Green, Head of MSIM’s International Business, Mr. Archer will have management responsibility for all MSIM’s existing sales, distribution, and operations activities in the Asia Pacific region. In addition, he will lead MSIM’s expansion into new markets in the region.
Commenting on the appointment, Michael Green said: “This is a strategically important appointment for us as we focus on the significant growth opportunities for our business in the Asia-Pacific region, and so I am delighted that Tony has agreed to take on this newly created role. His experience in growing businesses and his leadership capabilities will enable him to make a major contribution to our ongoing success in this area.”
