Morgan Stanley today announced that Reza Moghadam will join the Firm as a Vice Chairman in Global Capital Markets. In this new role, he will focus on coverage of sovereign clients globally.
Mr. Moghadam joins Morgan Stanley from the International Monetary Fund where he has spent over 20 years working on global issues concerning Europe, Asia and the G20. He most recently served as the Director of the European Department from 2011-2014. Previously, Mr. Moghadam served as Director of the Strategy, Policy & Review Department where he oversaw the IMF’s interactions with the G20.

Mr. Moghadam will report to Raj Dhanda and Dan Simkowitz, Co-Heads of Global Capital Markets. He will focus on advising sovereign clients globally on their financing needs and risk management strategy as the capital markets present more opportunities for issuance. He will join the Firm in the fourth quarter.
